I am finally starting a blog. Shocking, I know. I must be one of the biggest procrastinators ever. I'm working on that! There's not much to this first post--just a little introduction. This will be a place for anyone and everyone to see what I'm up to and to read my thoughts and happenings. Check in infrequently as that will be about how frequently I post! [Actually, I will try to post at least weekly. It just depends on what's going on and when and if I have electricity and internet service (once I'm overseas).]
It's quite late (or early for some of you), so I must go for now. I'll leave you with a big prayer request: Please pray that the Tanzanian government will quickly grant and issue my work visa and residency permit so I can get there already!

Hi Carrie, I just saw your blog from Susan's blog (we're in the same Bible study)... I couldn't help but click when I saw the title of your blog. I spent several months in Tanzania a few years ago and now run a NGO in Uganda. Where in Tanzania will you be? I spent my time in Arusha/Moshi area. There are a couple of great restaurants there (yes, just a couple, ha!)
